Welcome to the Korean Geotechnical Society.
Since its founding in 1984, the Korean Geotechnical Society has played a pivotal role in leading the academic and technological development of geotechnical engineering in Korea for the past 40 years and in addressing various geotechnical problems in society. This is the result of the tireless dedication and hard work of the Society's nearly 13,000 members and its various affiliated organizations from industry, academia, and research.
The 21st Executive Board believes that it is of utmost importance to continue the history and tradition of the Korean Geotechnical Society as an organization that serves the public interest of society. We will continue to operate various domestic academic events that we have been holding for academic and technological progress with more substance, and increase opportunities to attract and participate in international academic events to raise the international status of the Society. In addition, we will develop active training programs to improve the technical level of our members and strive to advance national technical standards. In order to pass on these assets to future generations, we would like to provide a variety of opportunities for young geotechnical engineers.
Our Society has been evolving steadily over the years while adopting to changes in society. The entire world is demanding an AI era. This is a critical time for the acceleration of academic advancement that we have never experienced before. The 21st Executive Board will do everything in its capacity to help the Korean Geotechnical Society grow together with its members to reach new heights. We will spearhead the development of the future construction industry through innovative research and technology, and endeavor to grow into the best professional society that contributes to the construction of society.
